RESIDENT CAMP JULY 17-21

Be Prepared for an Adventure of a Lifetime. 5 Days and 4 Nights of Scouting at beautiful Camp Carpenter in Manchster, NH. Campers who attend Resident Camp at Camp Carpenter Cub World will have the opportunity to take part in Games, Handicrafts, Sports, Nature, Hikes, Archery, BB guns, Swimming, Waterslide, Paddle Boats, BMX biking, Mini Golf, Fishing and Boating. The theme areas at Cub World Resident Camp consist of a full scale Fort, a Native American Village, Webelos Woods Adventure Area and Pirates Cove. At each of these areas campers participate in both learning and fun activities. At Camp, Cubs and Webelos have an opportunity to work on achievements,
electives and activity badges. Leaders and parents from Pack 114 accompany our scouts for the entire week on this Camp Adventure. The cost schedule for camp is listed below. If your scout sold $ 1,100.00 or more in popcorn he will go free or will get a discounted price based on the schedule below.

Camp Carpenter, operated by the Daniel Webster Council, provides excellent facilities to support a vibrant and exciting program of outdoor skills and fun to boys entering grade 2-5 in September of 2005. A $25 per scout deposit is required by March 15, 2005.

The cost for the session is:
* $215 ($25 deposit paid by March 15th and $190 paid by May 15th)
* $225 ($25 deposit after March 15th and $200 paid by May 15th)
* $240 (with payment after May 15th)

Camp Carpenter, Monday-Friday, August, 8-12th, 5-Days

2005 Day Camp is offered throughout the summer in various geographical areas across the state. The Day Camp program runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 4:00 and offers a fun-filled week of challenging activities, exciting adventures and new friendships.

Cub Scouts will participate in a wide range of supervised activities including Water Activities, Archery, BB guns, Scouting Around, Handicrafts, Sports and Theme related activities. A variety of special events are planned each week, all geared to the interests and abilities of Cub Scout age boys entering grade 1-5 in September of 2002. Boys entering grade 1 in September of 2002 may attend Day Camp as Tiger Cubs. Each Tiger Cub must be registered in the Boy Scouts of America and attend Day Camp with an adult partner. The fee for the Tiger Cub and adult partner is $90.00.

Bedford Cub Scout Pack 114 will attend Day Camp during the following week: MASSABESIC:  August 8-12, Camp Carpenter

Note: Massabesic Day Camps will have the same program areas as the other Day Camps. They will not participate in the Resident and Family Camp Theme Areas. Scouts can attend other Day Camp sessions held at Camp Carpenter and other camping areas. Call Sandy Berman for more information.

Cost: $90.00 Without Transportation. Late fee of $25.00 for any registration not paid in full by May 15.

Volunteers Needed:
If you volunteer for a week of Day Camp and are selected, your son will attend for free. Training is required for all volunteers and is scheduled for June 1 or 15, or check with the Camp Director for District training dates.

Each day Cub Scouts should bring a swimsuit, towel, rain gear, non breakable cup and a lunch & snacks that do not require refrigeration. This is an outdoor camp, so please dress your child for the weather.

The Weekend Camping program is dedicated to the entire family, and Cub World at Camp Carpenter provides tents, meals and program for the weekend!
This summer there will be three weekends for family camping. Check with your Pack and get a group together for a fun filled weekend. See you there!

July 6-7, July 20-21, August 3-4.
Cost: $20.00 age 18+; $17.00 age 11-17; $14.00 age 6-10; $8.00 age 3-5; Free age 2 and under.  Maximum fee per family is $60.00

Get onto Rt. 101 East towards the Mall of NH. Take "Exit 1" South Willow Street. There are 2 ways around the Mall of NH.

1. If you go left:
Go approximately 0.4 miles and take a right onto Weston Road, at the end of Weston Road (about 0.8 mile) take a right on to Huse Road, take a quick left onto Mooresville Road

2. If you go right:
Go approximately 0.4 miles and take a left onto Huse Road, stay on Huse Road for 1 mile, then take a right onto Mooresville Road.

At the end of Mooresville Road turn right onto S. Mammouth Road, go under the highway and then take a left onto Bodwell Road. Stay on Bodwell Road for about 1.7 miles to Blondin Road. Take a left on Blondin Road and you're there.

If the camp lets you, you may drive down the narrow road into the camp parking area. Usually they have you park out front in the big grassy area.  -  Good Luck!
